Goodly Words: 5th Annual Cultural Winter Festival
Saturday 26th January ’13 saw the 5th Annual Winter Festival bring a variety of UK and international artists to the stage to tantalise the musical taste buds of an appreciative and lively crowd.
Prince Terralox, Stamina Li, King Soyah, Kandake, Zacheous Jackson, Dixie Peach, Kwest, Afrikan Simba, Solo Banton, Princess Linn, Private Collection, True Identity, Joy Mack, Nereus Joseph, Wayne Lyrics, Lorenzo, Black Slate all performed on stage with either the wonderful Moa Anbessa Band or the Upper Cut band.
Backing singers were Sista Joseph, Chemina and Teacher Sabi
The event was compered by the productive Issac Natural with additional music supplied by Channel One Sound System.
All artiste performed a selection of either current tracks or ever popular tracks from their albums.

Black Flower fund raiser
Reggae Dub Healing
On Friday 4th Jan 2013 all roads led to Djolof Roots Sound event specially dedicated to Sharon Douglas [aka Black Flowers].
Sharon has contracted cancer of the breast and has chosen to have holistic treatment rather than alternative chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery.
The event organised by Binghy Man (Djolof Roots Sound) is to raise awareness for all and to ask people to say ‘Yes to life’ by donating to www.yestolife.org.uk/sharondouglas
Many Artist came along and donated time and effort to raise awareness and perform on behalf of beloved sister Black Flower and still ask that individuals visiting this page that know and have heard of cancer do donate continuously.
Earl 16, Christine Miller, Afrikan Simba, Errol Bellot, Ancient Angel, Prince Livijah & Lioness Fonts, Ramon Judah, Prince Terralox, Clued Up, Sista Lexxy, Serina Leah and more performed on the night. All united for one aim at Passing Clouds on Richmond Road, London E8.

Live Fridays – what you missed
LIVE FRIDAYS is an entertainment night held at the Nomad Bar in Old Street London by the Home B4 Midnight team. Every week the event features a different line up and mix of live band, solo singers, musicians, poets, comedians and solo artists.
The event also encourages members of the audience to take part in open mic jamming sessions (which has proved to be a real hit!) before we party on with music courtesy of a selection of real dj’s.

50 Outstanding Jamaican Women
Hart-Culture held an influential discussion heralding 50 outstanding women of Jamaican heritage.
The cultural olympiad event celebrating 50 most outstanding Jamaican Women at Southwark council building was a wonderful occasion to network and educate. With a wine reception and tantalising buffet and with the book signing by Andrea Campbell whom was also co-hosting alongside Chermiah Hart.
Lady Mayor Althea Smith, Poet Afua Rose were invited guest to invigorate and inspire the audience.
The talk highlighted women in business, literature through to medicine and was shared with the audience which consisted of men & women of various fields that not only listened but also contributed to the information given.
Lady Mayor Althea Smith gave a riveting closing speech after making the audience envious with her signed autograph ‘plate’ from individuals from the Jamaican Olympic team, Team Jamaica.

Milton Keynes Tattoo convention 2012
MK Tattoo Convention 2nd Edition , made its mark on the UK tattoo circuit on 9th and 10th June 2012.
Included along with the seminars was performances from various artist, competitions, seminars, stalls, information, food, shisha garden, Fire Eating, music and talented people.

This Saturday the East London dance group, United We Stand await the decision to see if Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden have elected them to go through to the live rounds beginning this sunday.
Receiving rapturous applause from the Britain’s Got Talent panel and audience alike, the Judges loved the Hip Hop group from Stratford.
While R&B princess and dance sensation Alesha said UWS “blew her away”, Simon described them as “absolutely sensational”.
